Where are you based?

We are in Marston Moretaine, Bedford, Bedfordshire UK.

Are you open to the public?

No we are not open to the public. ALL Visits are by appointment ONLY. NO COLD CALLS PLEASE!

Can we look around when we collect our adoptions or surrender our Piggies?

Only if this is pre-arranged with us. Please respect that the rescue is run from our private family home

Do you offer guided tours?

Yes we offer pre-bookable guided tours of the rescue. You can see our setups, hear how we run and see what happens here. You can listen to the rescue stories and meet some piggies. This must be pre-booked with us in advance and we offer this for a donation

Do you do adoptions?

Yes Please read our adoption page and visit our available for adoption section on the website. You must  be 18 years plus to adopt and have a suitable setup happy to give advice and support at anytime and should your circumstances change we will accept the Piggies back

Can we come to the rescue and choose some guinea pigs?

No, please view the guinea pigs available page. The rescue is also a sanctuary to guinea pigs that are too old or have medical issues that mean that they cannot be rehomed

Do you accept volunteers, work experience, Duke of Edinburgh and students at the rescue?

No we are not insured for this also the rescue is run from our private family home and we respect our families safety and privacy

Can I donate in person?

Yes, we are always looking for vegetables, newspapers and hay. If you wish to drop off any of these please contact us. We may also be able to collect dependant upon distance.

Do you offer a bonding service

Yes, please contact us for details

I can no longer care for my guinea pigs can you take them please?

Please send us a message and we will get back to you ASAP. If you can tell us how many, age and sex of the guinea pigs that is helpful

Will you rehome guinea pigs to a school, nursery or playgroup? 

No, guinea pigs are not suitable for this type of environment

Do you offer holiday boarding?

Currently We Do Not offer this Service

Do Guinea Pigs need any vaccinations?

No, however they need a  mite treatment every 3 to 4 months. If you need help with this please contact us

Do you offer nail cutting / grooming, heath checks and ivermectin treatment

Do You Rescue Rabbits?

No! We are a Guinea Pig Rescue we only accept Guinea Pigs. Not Rabbits or Farm yard Pigs!!

Are Sows or Boars better pets?

Boars are generally easy to handle and like to cuddle, they must be kept in pairs. Sows can be kept in pairs or groups and are some times a bit more independent. Both sexes benefit from you spending time with them and hand feeding and gentle handling. The more you put in the you get out!
